Introduce of Band Stop Filter

A band stop filter, also known as a notch filter, blocks and rejects frequencies between its two cutoff frequency points, passing all frequencies on either side of the range. By combining a basic RC low-pass filter with an RC high-pass filter, we can form a simple bandpass filter that will pass a frequency range or band on either side of the two cutoff frequency points. But we can also combine these low-pass and high-pass filter sections to produce another RC filter network called a bandstop filter, which blocks or at least severely attenuates the frequency band within these two cutoff frequency points.

A Band Stop Filter (BSF) is another frequency selective circuit that functions exactly the opposite of the Band Pass filter we saw earlier. A band stop filter, also known as a band stop filter, passes all frequencies but attenuates frequencies within the specified stop band considerably.

In signal processing, a band stop filter or band stop filter is a filter that keeps most frequencies constant but attenuates frequencies within a specific range to very low levels.
